Audio

Terence had what his Irish ancestors called “the gift of gab”. His message was not only in his words, but also in the humor and eloquence with which he delivered them.  Ample recordings of his lectures and interviews exist online and are available to the public.

Over the years his talks have been reproduced and sold for profit without permission or payment to Terence or his family. We encourage you NOT to support businesses such as Sound Photosynthesis who violate the intellectual property rights of authors. But rather to explore the resources below and to support the quality audio collections offered by Better Listen.  We believe in sharing ideas freely, while also respecting the rights of each creator.

  • Better Listen offers several compilations of live talks from the early 90’s that have been edited and digitally remastered.

  • This list of talks, compiled by Jonathan Laliberte is part of a website called Ask Terence McKenna. It provides links to numerous talks that are available on YouTube and some of which are transcribed.

  • This collection, gathered by Bruce Damer is a small fraction of what’s available via the ambitious project The Internet Archive. There is much to explore here.

  • Psychedelic Salon is a podcast created by Lorenzo Hagerty. Many episodes include excerpts of Terence’s lectures and interviews.

If you would like to use a recording of Terence in your own personal or commercial project please see the Rights & Permissions section of this site.
